She is dressed in a muslin dress, her left hand holding the ribbon of her hat decorated with ostrich feathers. Her pensive gaze is turned towards the horizon.
This large painting adorned the staircase of the castle of Marcellus, property of Count Lodoïs de Martin du Tyrac de Marcellus (1795-1861), since the mid-19th century. Around 1855.
