Original French edition.
This translation by Noguez (a Parisian physician, who signed the dedicatory epistle to the Duke of La Force), is followed by that of Hancock's treatise on water (translated by Nicéron), and by the theses of Philippe Hecquet (1661-1737, physician of Port-Royal) and Étienne-François Geoffroy (1672-1733, apothecary physician).
Handwritten bookplate on the title: Ht Gaillard 1730.
